One day there was a man called Tony and his uncle had just died. Tony was looking through his uncle's things when he came across something shaped like a telescope with the end covered up and made of brass and had the word Futurescope written on it in big letters. Tony's uncle had taped a note to it saying I wish I'd never bought this, if you're reading this please only use the Futurescope 5 minutes at a time. 'That's weird' said Tony and looked into the eyehole, and he saw himself getting in his car and driving home with the Futurescope. Five minutes later htat's exactly what he did, 'wow this is just like in the Futurescope' said Tony.
Tony started taking the Futurescope with him everywhere, and he'd check it every now and again, he checked it before crossing the road to make sure he didn't get hit by a car and he checked it in traffic to make sure he wasn't going to be late for work. One time he saw his friends were holding a surprised party for him at his house and he had to try really hard to look surprised! 'I can't believe it' he exclaimed!, but really he could. I wonder what presents I'll get he thought, looking into the Futurescope.
Later that day Tony looked into the Futurescope except all he saw was Tony looking into the Futurescope. 'That's weird' said Tony and he kept looking so he could tell when he was going to stop looking into the Futurescope because now he was getting scared. What if I never stop looking in the Futurescope he thought, and he saw himself getting more scared and that made him even more scared. Tony's friends were getting worried and they tried to take the Futurescope off him, but he wouldn't let go, 'I need to find out when I stop looking at the Futurescope' he shouted! After a while his friends all shrugged and said happy birthday before going home to bed.
After they left Tony got more and more upset at what he was seeing. 'I wish I'd never taken this stupid Futurescope' he exclaimed! 'Oh no' Tony said later as he saw himself clutching his heart and die horribly. He kept looking at his dead body for five minutes and get more and more scared until he had a heart attack and died too. The next day all his friends found him and got really upset about it. So now you know, if you ever find a Futurescope, make sure not to look at it for too long!
